data contributors

Data contributors are individuals and organizations who enlist their data sources on the SAGA platform, enabling them to be discovered and utilized by other platform users. Capabilities: Possession or management of data that holds potential value if shared. Note that data can be static (stored in a database on a permanent server), dynamic (constantly changing data in a distributed network), or streaming (sensor readings from IoT devices or mobile phones). Demands: Optimize data utilization (e.g., monetize data on a highly detailed level, share data with partners, industries, or broader communities). SAGA offer: Enable data contributors to present their data to other SAGA platform users based on finely detailed and customized criteria through data description and data ingestion APIs. SAGA requirements: Data contributors must provide metadata for their data. SAGA will install a SAGA adapter at each endpoint of the data contributor to facilitate and monitor appropriate usage. Potential users: Individuals and organizations possessing valuable but underutilized data sources (due to privacy, security, or commercial concerns).
