SAGA will facilitate the interconnection of computational resources, data, and algorithms owned by various providers within a unified network. SAGA adapters will enable direct payments to resource owners from the distributed computing frameworks' computational agents or individual users utilizing SAGA. The objective of SAGA is to integrate the computational network with the payment network, offering interoperability and exchange adapters for tokens and payment methods utilized by computing resource owners, decentralized computing platforms, and marketplaces.

The value interchange among independent network components will rely on a well-established smart contract platform and decentralized microtransactions. Initially, the value exchange infrastructure will be deployed on the Ethereum blockchain and subsequently on Cardano. However, SAGA's architecture will allow compatibility with different distributed ledger technologies that offer smart contract and decentralized microtransaction capabilities required by the platform. Ultimately, as the platform advances, it may offer network operation agents the flexibility to select a smart contract and transaction platform from various options, and to integrate the framework with emerging technologies in the field.
