Flexibility
SAGA agents will facilitate the flexibility of computational processes by allowing them to transition between devices within the network. This capability enables the dynamic optimization of computational workflows and business operations, facilitating the proximity of data to processes or vice versa. All computational processes are encapsulated within containers, which can be deployed and relocated as needed. Decisions regarding container movement across the network will be made by workflow orchestrators (i.e., network operations agents), while SAGA will furnish the requisite APIs for context awareness and computational reflection, as well as offer support for container deployment and removal as instructed.
It's worth noting that the flexibility of computational agents not only enhances the efficiency of computational workflows by enabling processing in close proximity to data but also opens avenues for innovative business models. For instance, sensitive data can be processed on-site at a client's premises by deploying containers containing proprietary AI/ML algorithms within the client's private cloud, ensuring data confidentiality. These algorithm-containing containers may be cryptographically signed and protected, and SAGA will oversee their destruction upon completion of the computing task, thereby safeguarding the privacy and intellectual property of both data and computing intelligence providers.
